Bursary award

This year’s LivCom Bursary Award for
£10,000 goes to a project that combines heritage, community
involvement and empowerment of the people, as well as some
elements of landscape and the environment.
The project involves the collection of
plants for medicinal and other cultural purposes and their
distribution to the community. The project is essentially an
ethno-botanical garden which has the capacity to provide
both education and resources to a community which, through
modern urban living, has lost contact with its cultural
medicinal resources.
